Booth Museum Educational Tool

Sussex Designers were approached by the Booth Museum to create an educational tool for children visiting the museum on school trips.

I quickly determined that the tool would need to be inline with the National Curriculum, whilst not straying away from the museum’s main focus of birds. Further to this, it needed to be fun and memorable, for the children, whilst cost-effective for the museum to maintain.

The solution I presented was “the Tree of Life” – a concept whereby children could fold origami birds and arrange them in the order of the circle of life in a real living tree. The origami can then be taken home and pinned on the fridge, helping the children to remember their experience.
